Dear Friends, The Third International Rough Diamond Conference, which took place in Tel Aviv on February 11-12, 2008, convened the majority of diamond industry players in general and those involved in rough, in particular, all under one roof. Representatives of diamond producing countries, the heads of mining companies, diamond manufacturers and members of the jewelry industry assembled in Israel to hear and discuss the critical issues on the agenda of the world diamond industry. These issues included the discussion of ways for the industry to handle the challenges that it is currently facing. Thanks to the conference, members of the Israeli Diamond Industry had the unique opportunity to meet and form business ties with leading entities in the world industry who visited Israel for the first time.
